Obituary of Marie Mullendore

Marie Mullendore, 96, of St. Petersburg passed away May 13, 2021 at Suncoast Hospice after a brief illness. Born and raised in New Jersey, she also lived briefly in California before spending most of her life in St. Petersburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Mary Kuntz; her siblings Edna England and Arthur “Bud” Kuntz, her husband James Mullendore and her dear friend George Wood. Marie is survived by her nieces, Mary Webster and Linda Wilkinson, her nephews Robert England and Mark Kuntz, three great nephews, one great niece, and six great-great nieces and nephews. Marie was a vital and active person who took up skiing at age 70 and continued skiing and bicycling into her 80s. Right up until her death she was active, swimming and walking every day, playing cards and shuffleboard, driving to Burger King for lunch, and enjoying her social circle. Marie’s memorial service will be at the Atrium at Americana Cove on Thursday, May 20th at 3pm.
