Obituary of Betty R. Short

Betty Short, 79, of Seminole, FL, passed away June 9, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. 

She is preceded in passing by her parents, Pearl and Dora Hamilton; brothers, Eugene Tackett, Glen Hamilton, Andy Lee Hamilton; and sister, Catherine Ellis. Betty is survived by her husband of 62 years, Tommy D. Short; children, Deborah Caudill, Anita Brown, Timothy Short, Daryl Short, and Cathy Short; her 2 brothers, Danny and Pearl Jr. Hamilton; grandchildren, Tom Charlton, Brent Brown Jr., Meagan Varnadoe, Michael Short; 4 great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Ackerman, Addison Charlton, Carter Ackerman, and Holden Varnadoe. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Betty was a CNA for many years working in the nursing field. In her spare time, she admired plants and gardening, and most of all, loved spending time with her family. Betty was dear to so many, and will be forever loved and missed by all who knew her. 

Her services will be held at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, 7820 38th Avenue North, on Friday, June 18th. Visitation will be held from 12-1PM, with a memorial service beginning at 1PM.
