Colonel Nathaniel Alderman, Jr. was a patient and wonderful human being. We all loved him and his wife. We recently found out about his unfortunate death. We found out too late to participate in his funeral. We looked in his file for next of kin, but his wife whom predeceased him was listed. We had no way of contacting the family Our hearts are saddened and we surely miss him. He was a special human being with a bright light and cheerful demeanor. We pray for the family and hope that his legacy will live forever. May God give him eternal peace.

I have known Nat Alderman, Jr., since we were 3-year olds growing up in Pooler, Ga. We started Pooler School together in 1939 and remained best buddies throughout our very busy, but separate (Army & Air Force) careers. He was one of the finest individuals I have known in my lifetime and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Our deepest sympathies and condolences go out to his big wonderful family.

So very sorry to learn of Nat’s passing. I just found out Saturday from the attorney handling his estate. I have always held my cousin in very high esteem. He was an extremely loving and caring guy and I loved him very much. We always enjoyed meeting he and Jan at Love’s Seafood when they were nearby. He loved and respected his entire family-such an amazing man!!!

This week our country lost a great Soldier. Colonel Nat Alderman served his country his entire life including thirty years in the Army Security Agency and the National Security Agency. He started as an Enlisted Man and advanced through the ranks to command the Army's largest Army Intelligence collection station during the Vietnam war. He was a leader in Intelligence collection and reporting during the cold war. No one surrpassed his knowledge of Signals Intelligence. He was respected by all who knew him. In addition he was a great friend to all of us . He will be missed. . Major General Tom Flynn and Alice

Nat was my first cousin and senior to me by 16 years. He was very highly thought of by myself and the rest of the family. I always looked up to him. We were separated by years and always lived many miles apart but were always close in spirit and love of family. To say he will be missed is a huge understatement. Nat... you leave a big hole in this life. "Cracker"
