The void in the universe is being felt by all who knew Curt, as word of his passing travels across the planet. There is a hole in my heart, and I know I am not alone in wishing for just one more chance to say, “I love ya, Curt!”.
Sending love to Mrs. Lewis, Kara and Meg; and to all of the family & friends who are already missing Curt’s unsurpassed generosity, thoughtfulness & intelligence…and, that wonderfully wicked sense of humor. Until we meet again.

Well said Steve and I have to agree with Tim, Curt was like a brother. So many good times hitting the beaches in St. Pete together. The football and the Frisbee were always with us back in those days. I will always keep those fond memories. I’m sure he and Garry have a good spot picked out for us when it’s our time to join them. Good bye for now my old friend.

Curt Lewis was a man that I only got to know two weeks before his time on God's earth passed. He was a kindhearted and gentle soul. Being a young man myself, I admired his stories of traveling and work in remote locations. This showed his spirit as one of adventure and love for new experience. he could also touch on any subject you mentioned to him with depth. In the time I encountered and got to know Curt he proved to be very friendly and have strong will which was demonstrated in his good work. May God be with his family in these difficult times. They have mine and my families prayers.

Just heard about Curt's passing. Such a gentle giant with a pure heart. We were close buds since elementary school & never knew a more fierce competitor on the football field & on the wrestling mat. His long hair, big frame & imposing build earned him nicknames like Conan, Thor, etc... but the truth is Curt was one of the sweetest, coolest guys I've ever known & would give you the shirt off his back.
We had talked over the phone recently about getting together sometime soon. It never happened & I'm kicking myself for not making it happen.
Rest in Peace my good friend Curt. You were loved & admired by far more people than u realize! I will never forget you #72. Steve Dudley

Curt Lewis was my best friend. A brother who I shared so many conversations with, a scholar with all kinds of knowledge about the world. curt found happiness and joy learning something new or finding out some strange fact would leave us laughing and amped up like we were up to no good but in fact we were looking at an atlas and finding out where captain Aubrey was in the current book we were reading. He was a book buddy, camping friend, fishing guide extraordinaire and without him our world is a little less bright, and a whole lot lonelier. Good bye curt from your friend john gary I miss you!
