Marion J. Jaskiewicz, age 94, passed away at home on November 4, 2020.  She was born in Binghamton, NY on March 26, 1926.  Marion graduated from the Charles S. Jaskiewicz in 1952 and travelled extensively as an Air Force wife until coming to the Tampa Bay area in 1961 from Heidelberg, Germany when Henry was assigned to MacDill AFB.  In October 1961 they established a residence in St. Petersburg, FL.  Marion was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in St. Petersburg.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Henry Jaskiewicz, parents Joseph and Theresa Rogalski and sister Marjorie Jaskiewicz (who married Henry’s brother Stanley).

Marion is survived by her 7 children, Susan Filippelli of Clearwater; Katrina (Steve) Ryan of Anchorage, AK; Jaclyn Jaskiewicz of Clearwater; Knute (Jin) Jaskiewicz of Anchorage, AK; Eric (Taria Davis) Jaskiewicz of Apollo Beach, FL; Jill (Miguel) Rodriguez of St. Petersburg and Joseph Jaskiewicz of St. Petersburg.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Erika Jaskiewicz of Riverview, FL; Ryan Pak Oh of Redondo Beach, CA; Augustus (Neysa) Jaskiewicz of Yokosuka, Japan; Megan (Alex Berdinis) Ryan of Denver, CO; Eric (Marte Fossland) Ryan of Trondheim, Norway; Max Rodriguez of St. Petersburg and great-granddaughter Nynaeve Jaskiewicz of Yokosuka, Japan; and many nieces and nephews.

Marion loved to take care of her family, read, garden, watch tv/movies and attend Mass at Holy Family.  She was the most amazing and wonderful mom who made life more fun.  She showed so much compassion to others.  We will miss her very much and look forward to being reunited with her someday.

A special thank you to Mom’s caregiver Patti Emmons who took excellent care of her over the past four years (along with her children Jill, Joseph, Katrina and Jaclyn) allowing Mom to live out her final years in her own home.  Also, thank you to Suncoast Hospice for their support.
