Obituary of Peter Andrew Winsor

Peter Andrew Winsor passed away Monday July19, 2021, of natural causes at his home in Clearwater, Florida.  He was born on November 26, 1941 in Cedar Rapids Iowa to Robert Winsor and Patricia (Mitchell) Winsor.

Peter was first enlisted into the U.S. Army 101st Air Borne and then the United States Air Force for 20 years.  Peter married Marsha Jean Mozol on December 23, 1960.  They traveled to many countries on his numerous tours of duty while enlisted in the Air Force.  Upon retiring from the USAF in 1981, he worked at Paradyne in Largo FL for 8 years, Siemens Medical for 7 years, and Sears at Tyrone Mall for 10 years until his retirement from the civilian workforce. 

Peter is survived by his wife of over 60 years Marsha; daughter Julie Nemethy of St. Petersburg; son Steven (Amy) Winsor of Palm Beach Gardens, and Michael Winsor of St. Petersburg; grandchildren Jessica and Christopher; great-grandson Elon; brother Patrick Earl (Barbara) Winsor of Largo, as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Peter will be remembered fondly for his “Mr. Fix almost anything” ability, ingenuity, stellar memory, story and shared memory telling, and phenomenal animal sound imitations, especially the Elephant.  He will always be in our hearts with memories held dear.
