I have good memories of Aunt Ida. She was always kind and good to me.
1 Corinthians 2:9 - “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”

From Darlene (cousin)
I have known Ida since childhood as “little” Ida because she and her mother shared the same name.
While we were not in touch for some years, we reestablished contact about 7 years ago. I was drawn to Ida and we bonded quickly regarding our shared compassion for family. I learned how kind, courageous, perceptive, sensitive and selfless she was, as well as being wise, intellectually curious, well read and an excellent communicator. I especially admired how she had parented Brian when she told me his life story after his passing in 2018.
I was very pleased when Ida moved to the Georgia mountains, finally able to do what she wanted for herself. I am comforted to know that she now rests in joy, peace and love with Brian.

Ida would always come to the Twin Cities area of Minnesota, when she had been up to see Brian when he was in Wisconsin.
She would come to see my parents; my Dad - Alf, was her uncle. I remember one time, several decades ago now - that Ida,Jr. accompanied her mother - Ida Sr. - so she could see her brother Alf. Several other members for our family came to visit that day, it was a memorable occasion. You will probably see a video recorded by me, a funny story about Ida Jr. & Alf - on one of his last birthdays.
I went to visit Ida a couple times, when she still lived in Florida - and was looking forward to visiting her in Georgia this coming winter.
To say I was shocked to hear the news was an understatement; Ida will be missed by all of her cousins.
RIP cousin Ida ... your life was cut way to short.

From Judy (sister)
I have fond memories of playing games with Ida and the neighborhood kids throughout our school days. Ida was smart and skipped a grade in middle school, then later was awarded a full scholarship to UF for her nursing degree.
She enjoyed being a mother and grandmother and appreciated the many opportunities she was able to work from home.
Ida is the only person I know who’s read the entire Bible twice (“except for the boring parts” she said) with her typical wry sense of humor.
It was good that we spent this Easter week together in California.

From Gail (cousin):
Ida was more like a sister to me. She understood and supported me. I loved her with all my heart. We always had so many laughs and made great memories. She made such an impact on my life and always gave me positive feedback. She was a crown jewel and princess and I will miss her forever!

From Cathy Egan:
When I was president of the Bethesda Parent/Guardian League Ida was a very loyal and helpful member.
She was so dedicated to Brian and she was a great asset to our organization. May she Rest In Peace in the arms of Jesus!!

From Lynn (a neighbor in Georgia)
Ida was an outgoing lady with an interest in learning about this area and meeting people. During the Holidays, she baked cookies and took them around to everyone. A definite kindness - especially for those who might not otherwise have anyone.
Ida was never shy about asking for what she needed or offering a helping hand. She did not have a car, so borrowed cars from a couple of neighbors. It was a win-win arrangement as she would also run errands for the people who loaned their car.
Ida also loved to work in the yard. She would rake the leaves, one time I saw her raking all the way to the mailboxes. If ever there was an issue in the apartment complex, Ida would get to the bottom of it no matter what it took. Then she would share her discoveries with us.
What I take with me from knowing Ida is that even though you don’t always agree, speak your mind. True friends forgive and let petty things go and move on in a mature, respect for each other manner.
She was a person here with whom I connected and I miss her friendship and seeing her out there raking those leaves and taking care of business.
Rest In Peace, Ida. I miss you.

From Paula (a neighbor in Georgia)
I miss her so much....her presence, her laugh...the many wonderful things she did for everyone here in the development. It's difficult sometimes wondering why someone so vibrant was taken so early, but we must remember it's all part of the Master's plan. I pray for you and your family. Just know that Ida was loved by me and everyone here.
