Obituary of Audrey Norwood

Audrey Norwood, 89, of St. Petersburg passed away March 12, 2022 at her home. She was born in California, living there, as well as in New Hampshire and North Carolina as a young person. She was preceded in death by her parents, Philo and Lucille Lindley; her sister, Joan Thomson; and her husband of 53 years, Hart Norwood. Audrey is survived by her brother, Richard Lindley; her daughters, Annette Norwood and Evelyn (Michael) Worley; and her sister-in-law, Louise Thomas. Audrey was a creative, loving and friendly person who enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and writing children’s stories. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg and was especially devoted to the Special Needs class that she taught for decades. Audrey’s memorial service will be Thursday, April 7 at 12:30pm at Anderson-McQueen – Tyrone Chapel, with visitation at 11:30am.
