Obituary of Arthur Carleton Sherman

Arthur Carleton Sherman, 81, of Tierra Verde, Florida, peacefully passed away in his sleep March 23, 2022.  

Born and raised in Lansing, MI, he served in the marines and graduated from Michigan Tech University with a civil engineering degree.

Art was preceded in death by his parents, Albert & Evelyn Sherman and his siblings Patricia Burrows and Charlie Sherman.

He is survived by his daughter Dru Murphy and her husband Tom, son Reed, daughter Corinne of Fairfax Station, VA.

His daughter Meredith Delcamp and her husband Jesse, sons Nate, Luke, and daughter Emma of Tierra Verde, FL.

His stepson Todd O’Brocta of Dunkirk, NY and sons Josh and Nick.  

He is also survived by his sisters Sandra Everett and her husband Bruce of Brighton, MI, and Marcia Sherman of Nashville, MI.  

Art was an avid reader, fisherman, and carpenter.  He loved and found joy in his family above all else.  He will be most remembered for his generosity, easy going attitude, and being a great example finding joy in the present moment.  

Art’s memorial service will be on Saturday, April 23, 2022 11am at the Anderson McQueen St. Petersburg Family Tribute Center.
