Obituary of Leota Fay Bongiovanni

Bongiovanni, Leota “Lee” Fay, 100, of Trinity, Florida, under the care of Gulfside Hospice, New Port Richey Florida, passed away on December 1, 2022

Lee was born on June 30, 1922 in Oklahoma to Novel Gregg and Ovie Hopkins. In 1946, She married the love of her life, Joseph C. Bongiovanni. They moved and resided in Brooklyn, New York. Shortly thereafter moved to Parsippany New Jersey. In 1979, they relocated to St Petersburg Fl. She was a member of the Church of Christ in St. Petersburg. She was loved by all who met her. In her younger days she loved gardening and cooking. While in St. Petersburg, she loved to pass the time playing cards and Rummy Kube with family and friends.

Leota was preceded in death by her parents, Novel and Ovie Gregg; siblings Oleta Evans, George Gregg and Osmer Gregg; sons Stefan Bongiovanni and Dennis Bongiovanni.

She is survived by her daughter Connie Napolitano of Trinity FL, son-in-law Gary Napolitano; grandchildren Anna Napolitano, Gina Mulroy (Scot Mulroy) and Gary J. Napolitano; 2 great-grandchildren Carly and Cayden Mulroy; 5 nieces.

 

Service to be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Clearwater FL on Monday, 12/5/2022 @ 11:00 am
