Obituary of Ann Torgusen

Ann Torgusen, a loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and friend

Our beloved, Ann Torgusen of St. Petersburg Florida, passed away peacefully on November 10th, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was 82 years old.

Ann was born in Amsterdam, New York on February 3, 1940, to Nana and William Firth and was the older sister of David and Richard Firth. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Robert Torgusen, Sr, and children and their spouses: Robert & Amy Torgusen, Jr, Karen and Jeff Hudgins, Gary and Amy Torgusen and Christopher & Christine Torgusen. Ann’s eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren were her pride and joy:  Lindsey Bilby, Ryan Hudgins, Kara Hudgins, Robert Torgusen, III, Arden Torgusen, Tighe Torgusen, Colin Torgusen, Gabriel Torgusen, Gavin Torgusen, Caleb Rendon, Kennedy Bilby and Wells Gappa.

Ann has called Florida her home for the past 40 years. She had a passion for community service and

after raising her children, Ann worked as the charity coordinator for Diabetic Charitable Services raising money for those in need.  She also served as the President of the Board of Directors for The Children’s Home Network of Tampa Bay. 

Ann loved her family dearly and her life was a blessing to all who knew her. She had a giving heart, and her memory will be cherished. She touched the lives of so many people and will truly be missed but will never be forgotten. She may be gone from our sight but will never be gone from our hearts.

 A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023, at 1pm at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 5233 118th Ave N, Clearwater, Florida 33760.  In lieu of Flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Children’s Home Network.   https://www.childrenshomenetwork.org
