Obituary of Tommy Short

Tommy Dairel Short, 84, of Seminole, FL, passed away February 3, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. 

He was born in Pippapass, KY. Served in the United States Army - 82nd Airborne. 

He is preceded in passing by his wife Betty Short; his parents Bertha and Mitchell Short; sister, Glenna Short; brother, Ray Short; sister, Eloise Hamilton. Tommy is survived by his children, Deborah Caudill, Anita Brown, Timothy Short, Daryl Short, and Cathy Short; his 4 brothers, Sonny, Donald, Quentin and Gary Short; grandchildren, Tom Charlton, Brent Brown Jr., Meagan Varnadoe, Michael Short; 4 great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Ackerman, Addison Charlton, Carter Ackerman, and Holden Varnadoe. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Tommy not only served in the United States Army, he also worked at Kamatsu Cranes and Pinellas County schools for many years. Tommy enjoyed fishing, garage sales and spending time with his family. Tommy was dear to so many, and will be forever loved and missed by all who knew him. 

His services will be held at the VA National Cemetery by immediate family.
