Obituary of Ron Freitas

Ronald Frank Freitas passed away unexpectedly February 18, 2024 at the age of 73 in St Petersburg Florida. He was born February 4,1951 to Rita Charpentier and Frank Freitas in New Bedford Massachusetts. Ron was a long time employee of Cumberland Farms and worked as a Regional Manager for the company until moving to Florida in 1997 where he worked for Walmart as a Store Manager until his retirement. After retirement Ron loved going on cruises with his beautiful wife. He was an avid sports fan and never missed watching his favorite teams the Red Sox and the Patriots play. He could also usually be found at home in his recliner watching Fox News and the Hallmark Channel. Ron enjoyed, and was an amazing leader of people, but his favorite roles in life were being a Husband, a Father, and most of all a Grandfather, spending time with his family was his favorite thing to do.

Ron is survived by his wife of almost 50 years Judith Freitas, his two children Tracey (Heath) Sheene of Punta Gorda, FL and Andrew (Francine) Freitas of North Port, FL, and his three Grandchildren Brianna Soto of Port Angeles, WA, Brandon Soto of Punta Gorda, FL and Noah Freitas of Washington, PA. He is also survived by his brother Wayne (Lisa) Charpentier of Port Charlotte, FL, his four Nieces Amanda, Tabitha,Abbey and Aubrey and his Sister in Law Theresa Almeida.

Ronald Freitas was a man loved and respected by many and he will be remembered and missed everyday.
