Obituary of Kaet Cheranichit

Kaet, Ketmanivong Singmuongthong Cheranichit, 76, left us, March 18, after her long journey of illness.

Born in Pakse, Laos and moved to America in 1975 for a new life.  She enjoyed several careers. As a newscaster in Laos and later as a teacher’s aide for the Illinois school system. She was an incredible influence of kindness to all that were touched by her. She fed many souls with her warm smile, and delicious food.

Maeh to her six children, five surviving. Nana to her six grand children.

She is survived by her husband, Hank Cheranichit, daughter, Ann Patterson ( husband Jason and son Jaylin), daughter Mae Cheranichit-Lewis ( Husband Keith, daughter Miel and son Tristan), son, Lon Cheranichit, Son Tim Cheranichit ( daughters Lua and Maia) and son Kris Cheranichit ( daughter Brynn).

Her surviving siblings, brother, Phouvanh Singmuongthong,  sister, Khanthong Donepanya, and youngest brother, Soui Singmuongthong. Bounyoung Phansopa, Phouvieng Singmuongthong and Saveevan Singmuongthong. Parents- Khene and Kaophone Singmuongthong.
