Obituary of Edward George Hammond

Hammond, Edward George, 73, of St. Petersburg, died, Monday November 6, 2000 at St. Petersburg General Hospital. Born in Mansonville, Quebec, he came here in 1954 from Sherbrooke, Quebec. He was in the Canadian Armed Forces during World War II. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, previous member of the Moose and Elks Clubs. He was a fundraiser for St. Jude?s and Holy Cross Catholic Church, where he was a member. He was also an avid camper. He was a retired building contractor, and owner of, Hammond Brothers Builders in St. Petersburg. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Eileen M. Hammond of St. Petersburg, two daughters, Elizabeth Legros and Veronica Stiles both of St. Petersburg, his son, William E. Hammond of St. Petersburg, and eleven grandchildren.
