Obituary of Glenn Franklin

Franklin, Glenn, 82, of Largo, died Tuesday November 7, 2000 at St. Petersburg General Hospital. Born in Howard County, Indiana he came here in 1983 from Indianapolis. He is a graduate from South Bend College of Commerce, followed with seminars and graduate work at Purdue, Indiana University, Indiana Central University and Harvard. He lectured and conducted case studies at the Harvard Business College. In 1978, he was one of 28 men invited to tour China under the auspices of the Agricultural Commission of the People?s Republic of China. After 34 years he retired from the position of Executive General Manager of the Indiana Farm Bureau Cooperative Association. Before WWII he was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. He was affiliated with Pasadena Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Merle; a son, Randy L., Indianapolis, IN; a sister, Mary Lois St. Clair, Galveston, IN; four grandchildren; Kimberly, Timothy, Jared and Steven Franklin all of Indianapolis; six great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Two brothers, Hiram and Charles William Franklin precede him in death.
