Obituary of Richard W. Teetor

Teetor, Richard W. ?Dick?, 68, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday April 4, 2001 at St. Anthony?s Hospital after a long illness. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he came here in 1954 from Cincinnati. He was a 1951 graduate of Western Hills High School, attended the University of Cincinnati Liberal Arts College and was a graduate of U.S. Maritime Training Station in Sheepshead Bay, Long Island, New York and served as a Merchant Marine during the Korean Conflict. He also attended St. Petersburg Junior College and took correspondence courses through Alexander Hamilton Institute. He was an engineer, having worked locally as a facilities engineer for both GEND in Largo and Honeywell, Inc. in Clearwater and as a mechanical HVAC designer at Mather Group, Inc. in St. Pete Beach. He currently owned Dick & Jane?s Old Time Ice Cream in St. Petersburg. He was the founder of Meadowlawn Little League in St. Petersburg, coaching winning Little League championship teams throughout the 1960?s, including the 1964 Allstar Team. He was a previous member of Northside Lodge #283 F & A M. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Jane E. Teetor, 2 daughters, Alison Teetor and Alisa Teetor, both of St. Petersburg, 3 sons, Burt, Wayne and Martin, all of St. Petersburg, 2 brothers, Robert of Tampa, Florida and Raymond of Cincinnati, Ohio, 1 sister, Margie Wyatt of Cincinnati, Ohio and 5 grandchildren.
