Obituary of Lila G. Jackson

Jackson, Lila G., 93, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday April 4, 2001 at Carrington Place Nursing Home. Born in Cross Forks, Pennsylvania, she came here in 1973 from Ogdensburg, Pennsylvania. She retired as a manager for a retail store in Niagra Falls, New York, and prior to that was one of the first eight women hired by Bell Aircraft as a riveter during WWII. She was a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star and Order of the Amaranth. Survivors include 2 daughters, Phyllis A. Hammond of St. Petersburg and Betty Hatfield of Buffalo, New York, 2 sisters, Doris Klingensmith of New Castle, Pennsylvania and Vera Snyder of Duncannon, Pennsylvania, a grandson, Bruce Randall of Orlando, Florida, a granddaughter, Cheryl A.
