Obituary of Arthur Earl Tiger'' Jones

Jones, Arthur Earl ?Tiger?, 83, of St. Petersburg, died Thursday April 5, 2001 at Bon Secours Maria Manor after a stroke. Born in Macon, Georgia, he came here in 1923. He was a letter carrier for the U.S. Post Office, retiring in 1990 following 45 years of government service. He was a Veteran of WWII, having served with the 14th Army Air Force with the Flying Tigers in China and was awarded the Air Medal, the Purple Heart and the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was an active gardener, a former Little League coach, an avid fisherman and a dear, respected uncle to his survivors, 5 nieces and 9 nephews.
